Introduction to XHTML
XHTML or Extensible Hypertext Markup Language is a family of all document types and modules that extends versions of the Hypertext Markup Language or HTML, which is the language used in writing web pages. It is a well-formed document and serves as one of the best application of XML.
The first document type of the XHTML family is XHTML 1.0. It became a World Wide Web Consortium Recommendation on January 26, 2000 and was followed with XHTML 1.1 on May 31, 2011. With the current HTML5 specification, XHTML5 is currently being developed.
Using XHTML in making web pages comes with benefits. XHTML applies XML’s ability to introduce new elements and additional element attributes. It also allows adding up of new feature sets which helps in making your site more flexible. Since XHTML documents are well-formed documents, it helps servers, proxies and user agents perform its best in transforming contents and increase interoperability with other data formats.

Mike Perini 09.01.2011 at 7:02 am The efforts you went to for this site were otntsauding. Creative eye. Willing to listen to the client. Hassle free communications. If there is a better web design company out there I don’t know who they might be. I have been involved in web design and development work for 30 years, from a public relations and marketing perspective, and MNM Webworks is the best!
Aloha, Am creating a site for a nreifd and even tho I’m not code savvy, I was able to fix the header to include a pic of her gong very cool. The problem I need help with is no matter how many line spaces/returns I add to the verbiage to define paragraphs, it defaults to lines all jumbled together. Where can I add a space between the paragraphs in the content? Thank You!!
Hi Damian,
Can you show us a piece of the code? It will help enlighten us with the problem and be able to give an advise.
